Bring your little ones out to the PCEI Nature Center, and sit under the
shade of our big oak tree while volunteers from the community read to
children (the Mayor of Moscow has been known to make a guest
appearance). The event is free and open to the public. Every Monday

The Full Moon Roll N' Bowl Bike Ride - Tuesday, July 7, 2009: 6:00 PM
Location: Bill Chipman Trail & Zeppoz
Join us for more bicycle fun as Bike for Life kicks off the first in a
series of summer bike events. We will ride the Bill Chipman trail to
Zeppoz Bowling Alley in Pullman for an evening of bowling. After a few
games, we then will ride back to Moscow under a full moon. Meet in back
of the UI Student Rec Center, along the trail.

Summer Family Days - Feathered Friends - Saturday, July 11, 2009: 10:00am-12:00pm
Location: PCEI Nature Center, 1040 Rodeo Dr., Moscow, ID
Gather your family for Saturday fun at the PCEI Nature Center, (1040
Rodeo Drive, Moscow) and learn about our feathered friends!
Participants will play fun birding games, and learn how to identify
birds of the Palouse. Fee is $8 for PCEI member families and $12 for
the public. Family Days are 10:00am-12:00pm on the second Saturday of
every month, June thru October (June 13, July 11, August 8, Sept 12,

Film: Mad City Chickens (Good Food Film Series) sponsored by the Moscow
Food Co-op - Thursday, July 16, 2009: 7:00PM
Location: Kenworthy Performing Arts Center
Each month the Good Food Film Series, sponsored by the Moscow Food
Co-op, will feature an entertaining and thought-provoking film followed
by a potluck of finger foods, social time, and discussion. Films will be
shown at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Center in downtown Moscow,
Idaho.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Admission $6 general public, $4 Co-op
members.

The Eastern Oregon Renewable Energies Non-profit presents SolWest Renewable Energy
Fair the last full weekend of July 2009. SolWest is an occasion
for learning, networking, and supporting all types of renewable energy.
This three-day event offers engaging activities for all ages and
knowledge levels. Participants from around the western region and
beyond come to join the SolWest community and learn about energy
efficiency, solar and wind energy, alternatively fueled vehicles, and
more.

Rose Creek Restoration Volunteer Event - Saturday, July 25, 2009: 10:00am-2:00pm
Location: Rose Creek Nature Preserve, Albion, WA
Come enjoy the Rose Creek Nature Preserve! Spend the day at our
restoration site participating in some volunteer planting and site
maintenance. We will meet at the entrance to the preserve at 10:00am.

Women's Mountain Biking Clinic - Saturday, August 8, 2009: 9:00am - 4:00pm
Location:
Come learn the basics of biking: bike and helmet fit, minor bike
adjustments, changing a flat tire, bike handling, and gear utilization!
In the afternoon, learn techniques such as cornering switchbacks and
hill climbing. After the workshops enjoy a group ride with the ladies
at beginning or intermediate levels. Registration is $35 as a PCEI
member, $40 for members-to-be. Gourmet lunch and beverages provided.
All proceeds benefit adult education programs at PCEI. For more

Summer Family Days - Eco Makeover - Saturday, August 8, 2009: 10:00AM-12:00Pm
Location: PCEI Nature Center, 1040 Rodeo Dr., Moscow, ID
Revitalize your skin with Mother Nature inspired treatments! This fun
filled morning will take a look at the skin we are in and fun, natural
ways to sooth and pamper yourself. We will be making skin treatments
from natural ingredients and will try them out on each other all while
getting a little messy (maybe very messy) and having a good laugh.
Everyone will leave with a great story, fresh feeling skin, and a
sample of the day’s creations to use later. Fee is $8 for PCEI member
families and $12 for the public. Family Days are 10:00am-2:00pm on the
