After School and School Break Programs

Nature Explorers
In the fall of 2009, the Palouse-Clearwater Environmental Institute teamed up with the Palouse Prairie School of Expeditionary Learning to offer a unique after school program with a focus on being outside. Nature Explorers was launched, and soon students from Palouse Prairie and Moscow Charter School were joining in the fun. Nature Explorers introduces participants to natural history topics through local field trips and hands-on activities, games, and crafts. The 2011-2012 season is now being advertised! Go here to download the Parent Handbook and Enrollment Forms.

Spring and Summer Break Camps
PCEI offers day camps for K-6 students over spring break and for a short time after school lets out in the summer. Contact us if you would like to be put on a mailing list for more information.

In the past, PCEI has partnered with the Moscow School District Adventure Club program for elementary age field trips at the Latah County Phillips Farm Park, and the University of Idaho Outdoor Program for wilderness expeditions.

"The kids are actively included and become aware of the relationships between their actions and their community." - Moscow Teacher
