We will miss you, Nancy We are very sad to report that former PCEI staff member, Nancy Taylor
passed away January 15, 2012 after a 14-month struggle with
leukemia.
Nancy was on staff at PCEI when our Executive Director, Tom Lamar,
started working here in 1990. She was the lead program staff, in
charge of our Sustainable Agriculture work. She grew up working on the
family farm in Utah. She studied textile art, and was the inspiration
behind PCEI's body of work in the areas of education and art. It was
Nancy who developed PCEI's concept of "EcoArt". It was her work that
started our education program. Her work was instrumental in PCEI's
success.
A Memorial Service for Nancy will be held from 5:30-7:00 p.m. on
Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at the Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home at
111 North 100 East in Tremonton, Utah. Visitation with the Taylor
family will be from 5:00-5:30 p.m. There will be a wake immediately
following the Memorial Service at Nancy's sister Harriet's house in
Tremonton, Utah.
Celebrations in Moscow and/or Potlatch will be announced later.
In lieu of sending flowers, donations can be made in Nancy's memory to
PCEI in Moscow,
Idaho and World
Vision.
