There are many ways in which you can help PCEI! From a two hour project to a 15 hour a week internship, we have just the right volunteer position for you! Currently, we have several internships available for 2009. Spaces are filling up fast, so please fill out an Internship Application today! Sustainable Transportation Coordinator AmeriCorps Intern
* Research best options for adding VanPool routes
* Organize and lead orientation workshop for gardeners
* Assist riders in the coordination of driving arrangements
* Develop and maintain associated PCEI webpages
* Develop marketing material for Sustainable Transportation activities
* Help coordinate the development of Biodiesel Coop
* Maintain bikes and trailers for PCEI staff and volunteer use
* Work with the City of Moscow on sustainable transportation related issues

Watershed Restoration Technician AmeriCorps Intern
* Work as part of a team on Watersheds Program projects to include restoration projects, Moscow Community Garden projects, and the PCEI Pantry Garden and Learning Nursery projects
* Participate in restoration activities to include: site maintenance, fencing installation, planting, erosion control implementation, and volunteer coordination
* Participate in effectiveness monitoring
* Participate in weed control activities: manual and mechanical

* Assist in care and maintenance of the nursery facility to include: plant watering, weeding, potting, and sowing and sorting seeds
* Participate in implementation of nursery sales and events
* Help maintain nursery website and database

* Participate in developing a vision for the PCEI Nature Center.
* Maintain the appearance of the Rodeo Campus.
* Potentially building new structures as the Nature Center develops.
* Assembling large structures such as a greenhouse and windmill.
* Committed to serving the needs of the community and the environment of the Palouse

PCEI Pantry Garden AmeriCorps Intern
* Assist in care and maintenance of the Pantry Garden: plant watering, weeding, potting, and sowing and sorting seeds.
* Participate in implementation of volunteer events.
* Helps increase participation of community members in the Pantry Garden activities.
* Develop and distribute produce to area food banks.

Moscow Community Garden AmeriCorps Coordinator
* Participate in plot rental activities and website updates
* Organize and lead orientation workshop for gardeners
* Participate in weekly maintenance of garden such as: rotating compost, emptying weed bin, weeding plots and walkways, mowing, tiding, maintaining tools, and keeping white board up-to-date
* Help to maintain community plots for produce donations to Backyard Harvest Program
* Expand community participation in food systems education, garden maintenance and family participation in gardening activities
* Help organize and coordinate the Moscow Squash Cook-Off event

* Work with Program Director and Manager on organization of program office and other office related program needs such as filing, phone calls, mailings, etc.
* Organize WS literature and library
* Maintain program binders and online files
* Maintain program nursery database and invoice needs
