Cleaner
PCEI is looking for a responsible, reliable person with a positive attitude keep the office buildings at our Nature Center sparkling clean! The position involves regular cleaning duties like vacuuming and dusting, as well as transporting recyclables to the Moscow Recycling facility. Graduate Assistantship in Ecology & Environmental Education
The University of Idaho McCall Outdoor Science School is seeking a PhD level Graduate Assistant who will serve as Community Ecology Instructor. The Ecology Instructor will plan and teach two sections of a 400-level course entitled “Community Ecology for Environmental Educators.” Students in this course will be Graduate Residents in Environmental Education serving as Field Instructors at the McCall Outdoor Science School. The Ecology Instructor will be responsible for teaching class and field-based experiences focused on the ecology and natural history of the McCall area, and relating course concepts to the curriculum taught to 5th and 6th graders in the residential outdoor science program. The Graduate Assistant will also develop a local ecological field research project; MOSS can help secure outside funding for this project. This position is a full-time, 20 hour per week assistantship for the fall and spring semesters. Full Position Description

McCall Outdoor Science School - AmeriCorps Positions
Live, learn, teach, and SERVE in the mountains...
The Environmental Education and Interpretation Specialist will provide high quality, field-based environmental education and interpretation programs to the youth and citizens of Idaho. One-third of the work will take place at Idaho’s only residential outdoor science school, one-third in various schools around the state, and one-third at public agencies and nonprofit organizations across Idaho. Gain teaching experience, study ecology in a field setting, and develop leadership skills all while living in a spectacular natural environment. You will earn earn 15 graduate credits and a graduate certificate in Environmental Education while completing service. This is a one-year, 1700 hour AmeriCorps position that provides a monthly stipend, basic medical insurance, and an education award upon completion of service. Apply today!

Environmental Education Assistant - AmeriCorps Position
The Environmental Education Assistant (EEA) will work to integrate the mission statements of PCEI and AmeriCorps. Working directly with the PCEI Environmental Education Specialist, the EEA will aid in strengthening an experienced-based environmental education program for local youth.

The EEA will be responsible for:
  • Coordinating and implementing educational programs for local youth.
  • Soliciting participation from volunteers and institutions involved with education and the environment.
  • Developing educational opportunities for youth within the different PCEI program areas.
