Watersheds Program Planting Specialist
The Watershed Program Planting Specialist is responsible for assisting the Palouse-Clearwater Environmental Institute (PCEI) Program Staff and AmeriCorps members in the installation of plant material on the Paradise Creek Restoration Project. The PCEI project to daylight Paradise Creek on the University of Idaho campus in Moscow, ID will occur during the late summer and fall of 2010.

Details:
This is a paid position that will require flexible scheduling as we are working in conjunction with the excavation and construction time line of the project. This position is not full time, but may require full time work during some weeks during the August to October project implementation time frame. Weekend work may be required. PCEI Volunteer Positions

There are many ways in which you can help PCEI! From participating in a four hour volunteer event to visiting PCEI regularly for volunteer work to becoming an intern or even an AmeriCorps memeber and volunteering 10-20 hours a week, we have just the right volunteer position for you! Currently, we have several internships available for 2010 and lots of other volunteer opportunities. Spaces are filling up fast, so please fill out a Volunteer Application today! Current Internships and Other Volunteer Positions


Nature Center Intern
* Participate in developing a vision for the PCEI Nature Center.
* Maintain the appearance of the Rodeo Campus.
* Potentially building new structures as the Nature Center develops.
* Assembling large structures such as a greenhouse and windmill.
* Committed to serving the needs of the community and the environment of the Palouse

Graphic Design Intern
* Write articles in local and regional newsletters and papers promoting upcoming PCEI events
* Create flyers, posters, media kits, and brochures
* Assist in the publication of PCEI’s quarterly newsletter
* Work with PCEI staff to organize and maintain website
* Input data into databases
* Organize text, photos and files
