What will Living at MOSS be Like? |
|
|
Community Living, Shared Experiences Living at the University
of Idaho McCall
Field Campus is an opportunity of a lifetime. The campus is
located on Payette Lake with 600 feet of sandy beachfront.
The 12 acre field campus includes bunkhouses for school groups, a
classroom/office building, two staff/faculty cabins (duplexes), a
dinning hall, two large classroom yurts (one for MOSS students and one
for field instructors), five small staff yurts, and a community
bathhouse.
Field instructors at MOSS get to know each other very well by living
and working together. Many students spend their free time with other
field instructors either by the lake, biking and hiking in the
mountains, nordic or downhill skiing, attending concerts in town or
sharing a campfire together. Students also enjoy spending time in
nearby 1,000 acre Ponderosa State Park. The MOSS community is very
close-knit.
Field instructors are provided housing at the field campus, where the
MOSS program takes place. Room and board will be charged through your
University of Idaho tuition bill.

campus tour.
There are two housing options available for GREE students and MEEC
AmeriCorps members.

Yurt Living 10 available spots
Yurts are shared by two people. Yurt residents use the community
bathroom facilities and have access to the Dining Hall for food storage
and to cook on weekends. Since bathroom facilites are shared with our
guests, there are schedules that limit when facilities can be used by
staff. |
