A Gift for the Future

Since 1986, The Palouse-Clearwater Environmental Institute (PCEI) has proven to be a goal-oriented, success-driven instrument for local involvement in environmental issues.  We are well known for building coalitions among diverse groups of people.

Through our efforts and success record, PCEI has established itself as a credible grassroots organization capable of mobilizing people and providing technical support for individuals and community groups wanting to solve their environmental problems.  As the clearinghouse for information on local and regional issues, we receive about 1,000 requests per year for technical assistance. Community support and respect for our work is strong.

We work to increase citizen involvement in decisions that affect the environment of northern Idaho and eastern Washington.

Through community organizing and education, PCEI assists members of our communities in making environmentally sound and economically viable decisions that promote a sustainable future.  Our main programs include:

  • Watershed Restoration
  • Moscow Community Garden
  • Environmental Education
  • Community Transportation

The PCEI Endowment Trust

The PCEI Board of Directors established the PCEI Endowment Trust to demonstrate this organization's on going commitment to our community. The Endowment allows donors a vehicle to express their commitment to PCEI's mission. The PCEIEndowment Fund is an open account composed of gifts of cash, stocks and bonds, and life insurance, which will be held in perpetuity for the permanent useof the PCEI mission.

Gifts to the PCEI Endowment are investments in our community's future.  Theprincipal of the Fund is not available to PCEI for general operating expenses.  A portion of the income generated by the Endowment will support PCEI projects each year.

A gift to the PCEI Endowment Trust endorses this organization's commitment to our values of connecting people, place and community.

Your gift will help the Palouse-Clearwater Environmental Institute:

  • Protect local ecosystems
  • Educate children and adults about environmental issues
  • Design effective solutions to local issues.
