Spring Pubbin' in the Greenhouse featuring Wildgrass String Band
We had such a great time at our Spring Pubbin’ in March, so we’re having another fun evening of music, food, drinks, and friends! Join us on Friday, April 24th from 5:00-7:00pm in our Greenhouse (unless it’s beautiful weather, in which case we’ll be in the Pavilion!). Wildgrass String Band will be playing, Pour Company will be serving drinks, and Mediterranean Spice Garden will be offering a delicious dinner.
April 24th is Arbor Day, and we’re celebrating with the state flowering shrub! All new members will get a free native Syringa to take home. The Syringa plugs will also be available for all to purchase at $5 each.
Pubbin’ is free for all members. Non-members are encouraged to make a $5 donation.
Members provide a strong base for our organization, which allows PCEI to complete our important work in restoration and environmental education, as well as maintain the Palouse Nature Center and Rose Creek Nature Preserve. Members also enjoy additional benefits such as free or discounted entry into educational and community offerings, half-price Nature Center reservation fees, free entries into giveaways, free drinks at member-appreciation events, and more. Learn more or become a member by making a donation at pcei.org/donate. A basic annual membership is $50, and this year we have a special $40 rate to celebrate PCEI’s 40th anniversary! For our 40th year, and with a goal of raising $400,000, we especially appreciate every new membership and renewal donation!

Little Roots Playgroup
Yes, we are meeting during spring break!
On Mondays at 10:30am, we welcome all families to join in the fun! PCEI’s nature educator will start each session with an interactive seasonally appropriate circle time, including stories, music, and movement (song, dance, hike, art, and sensory activities). Then, feel free to bring a picnic or snack and stay to explore our play areas with friends!
Requested $5 minimum donation per session to directly support Little Roots Playgroup. There is no charge for PCEI members. Bring a friend and come ready to make some new ones!
Not sure what it means to be a member? PCEI members are our supporter base—those who donate to help sustain the organization throughout the year. A basic annual membership is $50, and this year we have a special $40 rate to celebrate PCEI’s 40th anniversary! Benefits of membership include: free or discounted entry into educational offerings, half-price Nature Center reservation fees, free entries into giveaways, free drinks at member-appreciation events, and more. Visit pcei.org/donate to learn more or to become a member.

Little Roots Playgroup
All families with young children are welcome to join us for relaxed nature play time and exploring the Palouse Nature Center in a variety of seasons. Some weeks we will read stories or have guest leaders under the covered Pavilion or in the Greenhouse together before heading to the play areas or exploring the trails, and some weeks people will just meet at the playground behind the Greenhouse. On rainy or extra chilly days, we may meet in the Greenhouse. Stay, play, and picnic as long as you’d like!
We’ll meet on Mondays at 10:30am, with no meet-up during Spring Break (March 16th). Little Roots Playgroup is free and open to the community, so bring a friend and come ready to make some new ones!
