As a sixth-generation Idahoan, Liv's appreciation and admiration for the land is generational. Born and raised in Coeur d 'Alene, she grew up spending all of her time hiking, biking, swimming, and rock climbing. After participating in an outdoor education program in high school, Liv knew her calling was somewhere outside. She spent time traveling to National Parks across the United States and Canada, and from there she decided to pursue a Bachelors in Wildlife Sciences at the University of Idaho. During her time in school, she volunteered with Palouse Wildlife Rescue, where she rekindled her passion for caring for critters while also discovering her newfound love of environmental education. Liv spent multiple seasons at state parks across Idaho, primarily providing interpretation and environmental education to visitors of all backgrounds. She is now pursuing a Masters in Natural Resources at the University of Idaho, with an emphasis on interpretation and education in the outdoors through utilization of community-based approaches. Liv spends her free time doing yoga, traveling, backpacking, and all the same things she did as a kid!
